Concept: In the Douro wine-making region, with a strong focus in the Baixo Corgo area, the 4 brothers from a traditional family pooled their knowledge and love of the region to create "MÃOS". The carefully selected grapes from one of the quintas located at an altitude of 560m have given us a wine with the typical character and aroma of the Douro.
Appellation: DOC - Douro.
Tasting Notes: Intense ruby-violet colour. Predominantly woodland aroma with floral notes. This wine is marked by the elegance of its freshness, due to its high altitude terroir. Robust and persistent on the palate.
Climate: Mediterranean with hot daytime and very cold night-time temperatures. In the cold season it snows in the vineyard.
Production: 2000 bottles made on 30 October 2011.
Terroir: The grapes grow in very poor schist soils on vines planted in terraces at altitudes of 560 metres.
Winemaking: Bunches harvested manually and submitted to selection at the vineyard in 20 kg boxes. Further selection at the sorting table. Vats gravity filled. Fermentation at controlled temperatures.
Alcohol content: 15,0%Vol.
Storage and serving: Store at 12°C. Recommended serving temperature 16°C, to be drunk at 18°C.
Food and wine matching: Goes well with well-seasoned fish and meat dishes.
